Linking the world for a worthy cause ….
Akaroa, NZ – September 27, 2017 – Takamatua Valley Vineyards/Akaroa Winery – First Annual September Event
VIP’s from Christchurch, Wellington and Akaroa toasted The Global Party and The Akaroa Health Hub joining in the world’s largest invite-only VIP charity event, which is growing annually in its philanthropic reach. Launching in 2011 at The Natural History Museum in London and aboard The Orient Express, this inspirational event unites the luxury hospitality industry with thousands of invited VIP guests in support of The Global Charity Trust and its hundreds of worldwide benefiting causes. Akaroa Winery was the official wine sponsor in 2011 in London and brought the event to the village of Akaroa this year for the first New Zealand site, benefiting the Akaroa Health Hub and Alzheimer’s Research UK.
The first event at the Akaroa Winery since the devastating Canterbury earthquake in 2010, brought together local businesses and VIP’s raising over $8,500 – $5,200 for the Akaroa Health Hub and $3,200 towards Alzheimer’s Research UK – all the while enjoying the fine award winning wines of Takamatua Valley Vineyards, an enjoyable three course meal, music from the Starlet’s, dancing, and the wiles of the fabulous MC Steve Girvan. The Global Charity Trust has already approached the winery to secure the venue for a March 2015 event as well as an annual September event. Details to follow.
